One Maroon 5 fan took things a little too far Wednesday, pelting the band’s star singer, Adam Levine, with a “sugar bomb.”
The incident happened as Levine and his bandmates were preparing to sign autographs for fans after a performance on “Jimmy Kimmel Live” outside the show’s Hollywood theater.
According to CNN, the suspect was a male in his 30s. He was tackled by security and arrested by a Los Angeles police officer on suspicion of battery.
Maroon 5’s latest single – “Sugar” – was the top charted pop song this week, according to Billboard.
The Hollywood Reporter reported the same assailant last week threw a rock at Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson.
Levine has yet to officially comment on the incident.
