The NFL ‘Take A Knee’ controversy took a surprising turn during Thursday night’s matchup between the San Francisco 49’ers and the Los Angeles Raiders game.
A cheerleader for the 49’ers was standing in formation with the others when she suddenly took a knee.
The cheerleader was caught on camera kneeling as the National Anthem played.
The cheerleader has not been identified.
Former 49’ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick sparked a wave of protests two seasons ago when he took a knee to protest police brutality and racial inequality.
The 49’ers said they did not have a comment on the matter at this time.
