KISSIMMEE, Fla. (AP) – Two teenage brothers from the Dominican Republic who were in the country for a baseball tournament are missing.
The Orlando Sentinel reported Saturday the brothers went missing from their Kissimmee hotel.
The brothers, Francis Carela-Valdez, 15, and Franklyn Carela-Valdez, 16, were to Old Town, a tourist area filled with shops and rides, with their team Friday night, according to Kissimmee police. They went back to their hotel, but in the morning they were gone.
Their baseball team looked for them after noticing they were gone Saturday morning then called authorities to report them missing.
Kissimmee police spokeswoman Stacie Miller told the Sentinel that the two boys have very limited cash on them and do not have a phone.
