Did you know that April 2 is National Equal Pay Day?
The date marks how far into the year a woman must work to earn what men earned in the previous year, according to the National Committee on Pay Equity website.
The organization created the day in 1996 to raise awareness about the pay gap between men and women.
The group was founded in 1979 and says its purpose is to close the wage gap between women, people of color and men. Learn more here.
