Netflix has been gradually rolling out a price increase to members since announcing it in January, according to a Netflix spokesperson.
The streaming service will increase the cost of its plans in the US by $1 to $2. The exact timing of the increase is dependent on each member’s billing cycle.
Netflix said the increased revenue will help it add more television shows and movies.
The company has been investing heavily in original content.
It budgeted $8 billion for new shows and movies in 2018.
