LOS ANGELES (WJW) — Sylvester Stallone, the actor/director/writer known for “Rocky,” “Rambo” and “The Expendables” among many other movies, is reportedly selling his southern California mansion and making moves across the country.
On his reality show “The Family Stallone,” the 77-year-old told his kids his plans to move to Florida.
“After long, hard consideration, your mother [Jennifer Flavin Stallone, who recently reconciled with Stallone] and I have decided, time to move on and leave the state of California permanently, and we’re going to go to Florida,” Stallone told his family.
In the clip, his children seemed shocked their dad would sell the home.
It was not made clear why he was making the decision, other than alluding to a needed change, but taxes in the Golden State are notoriously much higher than that of Florida. The two states are also at polar opposite ends of the political spectrum.
While the action star isn’t moving to Ohio, he is reportedly coming to Cincinnati area this week to film a new movie called “Alarum.”
According to WVXU, assistant city manager Jessica Greene announced the move at a council meeting last week.
“I just wanted the public to know that Sylvester Stallone will be filming a movie in Oxford starting next week, and possibly even this Saturday,” she told the council. “So if you see them around town — they’ll be filming Uptown, and they’ll have our fire and EMS team there because they might have a small explosion.”
The movie is getting funding from the Ohio Motion Picture Tax Credit Program, which was announced last week.
