ORLANDO, Fla. (WFLA) — “The Princess and the Frog” is officially coming to Walt Disney World this summer!

On Tuesday, the Florida resort announced that Tiana’s Bayou Adventure, the New Orleans-themed ride that replaced the park’s iconic water ride Splash Mountain, will open just in time for summer vacation.

“With Princess Tiana at the helm, this new attraction ‘digs a little deeper’ into her story after the events of the Walt Disney Animation Studios film ‘The Princess and the Frog,'” Disney said in a press release.

The ride, which is set in a Louisiana bayou, will have riders tapping their toes throughout the attraction thanks to the ride’s adorable critters, who sing and play instruments from the natural materials found in the bayou.

In addition to the rides’ funky jazz music inspired by the 2009 movie, the film’s voice actors will reprise their roles to voice the animatronic characters.

According to Disney, Tiana’s Bayou Adventure will float riders through the cypress trees and Spanish moss of the bayou as they greet Princess Tiana, Louis, Mama Odie, Eduroa, Charlotte, Prince Ralphie, Prince Naveen, and others.

“The heart of Tiana’s story reminds guests that everyone has the potential to make their dreams a reality,” the park said.

Disney lovers can keep the good times rolling with Tiana and friends this summer when the new thrilling ride opens!
