For those who want to grab some good food before a flight and do a little good in the process, that option is now available to them at Tampa International Airport.

Inside the Box, a Metropolitan Ministries’ social enterprise, will now serve a grab & go food items in the Airside C terminal of TPA, which services Southwest Airlines. This is part of the new concessions program coinciding with the airport’s $1 billion expansion project. As the project – the largest expansion in the history of TPA – nears its completion in 2017, an expanded Inside the Box selection will be available at all Stellar Bay news/convenience stores operated by Stellar Partners, Inc.

TPA serves more than 19 million travelers a year, with Airside C being its busiest airside. Inside the Box will be sold at Stellar Bay, one of 65 new food, beverage and retail concepts – 24 of which are local concepts or serve local brands.

Not only will travelers be able to pick up fresh food delivered daily to the airport, they will also contribute to Metropolitan Ministries with every purchase. All profits from Inside the Box go back to Metropolitan Ministries to feed the hungry. Furthermore, students in the Ministries’ Culinary Arts Program prepare the food at Inside the Box. The program trains and equips men and women transitioning out of homelessness with the skills needed to gain employment and become self-sufficient.
