WFLA DAY: News Channel 8 to broadcast live from the Florida Strawberry Festival

TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Plant City’s annual Florida Strawberry Festival is underway, and News Channel 8 is giving viewers a front row seat as we celebrate all things strawberry.

News Channel 8 personalities will be at the festival for “WFLA Day,” on Friday, March 8.

Chris Martinez and Avery Cotton will anchor the morning broadcast from 6 a.m. to 9 a.m. and Josh Benson and Paola Suro will anchor the evening show.

Storm Team 8 Meteorologists Leigh Spann and Rebecca Barry will also be there with the latest forecasts.

Viewers can come out and see the set, which will be located near the kid-friendly rides area, about 50 yards from the media center.

The Florida Strawberry Festival kicked off Thursday, Feb. 29 and runs through Sunday, March 10.
