TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – Dozens of residents and staff members at long-term care facilities in the Tampa Bay area have died from the coronavirus, state health officials report.

The Florida Department of Health and Division of Emergency Management is no longer releasing case numbers per county. Instead, they are reporting deaths county-by-county.

Florida has a total of 497 coronavirus deaths tied to long-term care facilities.

Manatee County
