Semaglutide, often referred to as the “skinny shot”, is an injection that helps regulate appetite and food intake.
Medical professionals are finding most patients will lose an average of 15% of their body weight on this program. Some have reported losing lose up to 30% of their body weight.
Functional medicine expert, Dr. Cathleen L. Gerenger, joined Gayle Guyardo the host of the global health and wellness show Bloom to talk about the benefits of the weight loss drug.
Dr. Gerenger also says before starting any of her patients on a weight loss program she reviews a blood workup first to screen for contraindications and possible side effects of semaglutide.
