Annie Mapp is a Bilingual Reporter from Mississippi who joined the 8 On Your Side team in March 2022.
She is a proud graduate of Ole Miss where she studied Broadcast Journalism and finished her degree in 2018.
Before joining WFLA, Annie was a reporter in Alabama and South Carolina. Her most impactful stories have revolved around crime, severe weather aftermath and elections. Annie’s coverage has gained worldwide attention even from a former First Lady of the U.S.A.
She is of Colombian heritage and is not new to Tampa Bay. As a child, she lived in Bradenton, Gibsonton and Lakeland. She’s happy to be back in Central Florida and calls it her “forever home.” During her free time, Annie can be caught at the gym lifting more weights than the boys and taking long walks with her dog Benji.
