Aileen Hnatiuk

Aileen Hnatiuk is ecstatic to be back home. 

She grew up in Weeki Wachee Springs and has moved all over the southeast region of the country. Hnatiuk went to college at ECU in Greenville, North Carolina, where she was a member of the Women’s Volleyball team and Chi Omega Rho Zeta. 

The Pirate started her career at NBC29 WVIR in Charlottesville, Virginia, where she covered UVA, JMU and the pro teams in Washington, DC. The ‘Hoos won two national championships in her tenure in C’ville. The Washington Nationals even won the World Series.  

Hnatiuk moved to South Louisiana to cover the New Orleans Saints, LSU and Southern University at NBC33 WVLA/FOX44 WGMB. The LSU Women’s Basketball team won its first ever National Championship while she was in the Red Stick, and LSU Baseball won its sixth. 

Outside of work, Hnatiuk loves to spend time with her family and friends. She enjoys playing beach volleyball, kayaking down Weeki Wachee River and riding her horses. 

Community is very important to her, as she volunteers at several charities in the area and is always looking to make a positive change in the world.
