A Pinellas Park woman is dead following the injuries she sustained after her husband shot her at her job on April 11.

Anna May Wittman was shot multiple times in the parking lot of her job by her husband David Wittman.

Wittman then drove away from the scene in the family car and went to his home in a nearby neighborhood.

After a more than 6-hour standoff with officers, two SWAT members shot Wittman and he died from his injuries.

Both officers have been placed on routine administrative leave with pay, pending the conclusion of the investigation by the State Attorney’s Office for the Sixth Judicial Circuit.

Before that, they had worked diligently to get the man to surrender, even getting face-to-face with the man. No one else was hurt in the shooting
