Pink flamingo raft floats down Los Angeles River in social media stunt

LOS ANGELES (WFLA/KABC) – A rare sighting of a pink flamingo raft floating down the Los Angeles River received a lot of attention on Monday.

YouTube stunt video creator Sam Pepper took the giant inflatable for a float, that is until the LAPAD broke up his “party.”

“We just thought, take this flamingo down the LA River and just see if we can get to Long Beach,” Pepper said.

“That was the mission really. We started all the way in downtown Los Angeles and the cops came out and they were really friendly. We want to say thank you to the LAPD and we’re sorry if we wasted any of their time.”
