HOUSTON (WFLA/KPRC) – An irate passenger was taken off a plane and placed in police custody after an aircraft made an emergency landing in Rochester, Minnesota.
Video taken by a passenger on board shows the woman moving down the aisle, yelling and cursing.
At one point, you can see two men confront her.
The woman became irate when the flight was delayed and diverted because a man needed a doctor.
A passenger on board told NBC affiliate KARE that the flight attendant thought the man was sleeping, but he was actually in a coma.
When paramedics arrived, the woman reportedly ran from the back of the plane, yelling that she wanted off.
According to KARE, the police sent the woman to a hospital for a mental health evaluation after being told she is a military veteran battling PTSD.
Spirit Airlines issued a statement, saying: “We apologize to our guests who had to witness this and for the inconvenience of the delay. Safety [is] our top priority at Spirit Airlines.”
