SARASOTA COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) – The latest red tide report by the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission may be worrisome to some beachgoers after last year’s struggle with the organism.
According to FWC, background to low levels of K. brevis was observed in Sarasota County.
Background to low levels were also observed in Charlotte and Lee counties.
FWC said no fish kills suspected to be related to red tide were reported over the past week. There were also no reports of respiratory irritation.
