A new Filipino restaurant is spicing things up at Tampa’s latest trendy food hall.
The authentic Filipino concept eatery is taking over a stall at Armature Works.
Chismis & Co. brings home-style food from family recipes to Tampa Bay.
In this unique setting, just about anyone can try it out.
You can get a snack like the Filipino pork egg rolls with sweet chili sauce or a plate full of chicken braised in soy, vinegar and garlic.
And we can’t forget about dessert. Finish your meal off with a sweet treat made of banana, jackfruit, guava, cream cheese and caramel.
Chismis & Co. is packed with bold new flavors, but each dish proudly stems from tradition.
“One part is, you’re caring on the traditions of your family. So that’s a wonderful, warm feeling,” co-owner Ron Vicencio said. “And then to share it with other people that never experienced it, it’s a food that I think is very approachable. As well as for those who have experienced it, it’s very identifiable.”
If you want to check it out you’ll have to get in fast.
Chismis & Co. will be at Armature Works located at 1910 N Ola Ave. for the next 4 months.
