President Donald J. Trump gave remarks and signed an education act at Tampa Bay Technical High School Tuesday in front of a crowd of several hundred.
The President showed up at the high school on Orient Road around 6:00 p.m. to students, staff members, administrators and community members.
Trump was joined by U.S. Secretary of Education Betsy DeVos, Gov. Rick Scott, R-Florida, and his daughter, Ivanka, who introduced her father.

“It’s great to be back in Florida,” Trump said, before getting into the meat of his remarks.
He explained how technical and vocational jobs are an instrumental part of the fabric of America.
“We’re also here to discuss an issue I feel very strongly about: vocational education,” Trump said to cheers inside the packed auditorium.
He then talked jobs for several minutes and encouraged companies to make products in the U.S.
He acknowledged two students, one former and one current, who are proven successes under the vocational education system.
Before leaving the high school, Trump signed a copy of the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education Act, which provides an increased focus on the academic achievement of career and technical education students.
The President said the copy is “a gift to the high school.”
President Trump also spoke at a rally at the Florida Fairgrounds.
