Senior Executive Producer, Christine Bowley, has been adopting dogs from animal shelters since she graduated from college and had a place to call her own. Over the years, she and her husband have adopted four 4-legged family members. The most recent, from right here in Tampa.
Christine found Gatti at the Tampa Bay Humane Society as an 8-week-old pup. He was one of three left in his litter. He was so little and sweet, she had to meet him face-to-face.
It was love at first sight for both. Gatti was mellow for a puppy, which was key for Christine’s family who already had two shelter mutts at home. His breed was a big question mark but that was Ok.
The good news for little Gatti, he came into a home with two mature dogs to show him “the way.” The bad news, Christine and her husband would welcome a baby boy 7 months later and steal his thunder!
Gatti and baby John are now best friends. Even though Gatti has grown into a monster (90 lbs.) he is still sweet and gentle. He has tons of energy and it may just be enough to sustain him as John grows up knowing a love of dogs, too.
