If you spent your college years in Florida, consider yourself among the best.

A new ranking from U.S. News and World Report says Florida is the best state in the country for higher education.

Based off of factors such as shares of citizens in each state holding college degrees, the time it takes students to complete two and four-year college programs, the cost of in-state tuition and fees, and the amount debt that college graduates carry, reachers compiled the list and ranked the colleges and universities within each state.

Florida claims three colleges that ranked among 100 of the best across the country, according to the newly-released report.

Among the 70 colleges and universities in the Sunshine State, the report says these are the top five:

  1. University of Florida
  2. University of Miami
  3. Florida State University
  4. University of South Florida
  5. University of Central Florida
