The Bucs took on the Lions in game three of the pre-season, a dress rehearsal for the first game of the regular season on September 9th.
As expected, quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick started the game for the Bucs.
Peyton Barber opened up the scoring, running the ball in from 14 yards out to put the Bucs up 7 to nothing.
Chris Godwin extended the Bucs lead as he hauled in a pass for a touchdown from Jameis Winston to put the Bucs up 13 to 6. Chandler Catanzaro missed the extra point.
The HIGHLIGHT of the night comes from Adam Humphries. He took the ball 109 yards off a field goal return for a touchdown.
Ryan Griffin threw a touchdown pass as well to Freddie Martino, Bucs led 27 to 6 at this point.
Detroit crept their way back in the game in the 4th, as the Bucs lead 27 to 20 in the fourth quarter.
However, Chandler Catanzaro made a 43 yard field goal to make it a 10 point game, 30 to 20.
The Lions make a late charge, Brandon Powell returns a punt from 80 yards out for a touchdown. Bucs lead cut to 4, 30 to 26.
