A motorcyclist was killed Monday morning when he ran into the side of a trailer.
The crash closed the westbound lanes of Busch Boulevard at the entrance to southbound I-275 for more than two hours.
Tampa police are investigating the crash. Investigators say the motorcyclist was traveling westbound on Busch Boulevard at 6:15 a.m. and ran into the side of a trailer that had crossed the westbound lane of Busch Boulevard. The trailer was at the entrance to southbound I-275.
The motorcyclist – a man who has not yet been identified- was declared dead at the scene.
The driver of the truck that was pulling the trailer remained at the scene and is cooperating with investigators. He has not been charged.
The case remains under investigation.
