The signs advertise “massages” but New Port Richey police believe there is a whole lot more going on inside two spas on busy Highway 19.

Men looking for a massage will have to find another place.

The Kimura Spa and one right down the road, owned by the same woman, are closed and locked up.

At the Kimura spa, you could say they’re giving new meaning to the term “strip mall.”

After several undercover operations, cops busted owner, Ai Shu Jin, and two employees, Aizi Li and Jin Shunyu.

All face prostitution charges.

“Good for the community? Yes. Definitely a good thing. We need to get the community cleaned up,” said Victoria McGinnis.

The bust comes as good news to people who work nearby. From their front window, they can watch the parade of customers arriving and leaving.

“Just always non-stop people coming in for massages here. Or whatever,” said McGinnis.

A few miles south, at the Miyako spa, stickers in the window proclaim “we report crime” and “crime watch.”

But New Port Richey police tell us what went on inside is a crime.

The Florida Health Department, Homeland Security and Border Patrol were also involved.

Near the Kimura spa, there is a private school where students from pre-k to 5th grade attend.

“There’s a school right behind here, so all this is going on and people are bringing their kids back and forth to school. They don’t need to see this,” said Malia Veney, who works near the spa.

A sign in the window reads: “Temporarily closed, New Port Richey Police Department warrant.”

Cops went to both places at the same time, armed with search warrants.

The owner is also facing code violations.
