The midterm elections are officially upon us.
Early Voting starts on Monday in Hillsborough, Pinellas, Sarasota and DeSoto counties, and later this week in every other Tampa Bay area county.

Vice President Joe Biden will be in Tampa on Monday to campaign for Democrats, especially Andrew Gillum and Bill Nelson. You can see them at the USF East Gym starting at noon.
Voters can get more information on the charter amendments on the ballot for Madeira Beach voters on Tuesday evening.
On Wednesday, gubernatorial candidates Andrew Gillum and Ron DeSantis will debate for the second time this week. The first debate is Sunday night on CNN.
St. Petersburg College will host a forum on “fake news” Wednesday night in the Conference Center at the Seminole Campus.
A distinguished panel of experts will attempt to separate what is “fake” news from what is just “bad” news. It’s one of the president’s favorite attacks on the media, but rhetoric aside, actual fake news like the attacks from Russian agents on the 2016 election are a legitimate threat to western democracies and their elections.
