Police have arrested a 19-year-old for the death of a man who was found shot and killed in a car in St. Petersburg earlier this week.
On Monday, 29-year-old Derrick Williams Jr. was found dead in a running car on 38th Street North. Police say he had a single gunshot wound to his head.
One day later, 19-year-old Lashaud Golden was arrested for an unrelated carjacking and shooting. Police say Golden shot another man in the back while trying to rob him near 35th Street South and 4th Avenue South.
Police have now charged Golden in Williams’ shooting death.
Golden is facing several charges including second-degree murder and carjacking.
