DEERFIELD BEACH, FL (WFLA) – A man politely robbed a Little Caesars restaurant at gunpoint in Deerfield Beach in December. Local law enforcement officers are looking for him.
It happened Dec. 9 at the Little Caesars located on South Federal Highway. A man holding a black handgun asked the clerk to open the safe and to ‘please’ give him the money. The witnesses described his tone as “very polite.”
According to Broward County deputies, he said he was “sorry for doing this” but his “kids need Christmas.”
The safe was empty, so the man asked the clerk to open the registers. He took the cash, put it into his black backpack and fled, police said.
Officers are looking for the suspect. They describe him as a black male with a light complexion and a medium frame in his early 20s. He is about 5 feet 8 inches tall. He wore a dark gray sweatshirt with the word “Nike” in black letters, dark pants and black gloves. He had a gold grill on his teeth and a mustache.
If you have any information about the robber, please call Broward County Sheriff’s Detective David Agusti at 954-321-4332 or Broward Crime Stoppers, anonymously, at 954-493-TIPS (8477) or www.browardcrimestoppers.org. A reward of up to $3,000 is available for information leading to an arrest.
