TAMPA, FL (WFLA) – The Children’s Gasparilla Parade has been a part of the pirate celebrations in Tampa since 1947. It is scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 23 this year. It follows part of the route of the officials Parade of Pirates.
WHEN/WHERE: This alcohol-free parade starts at 3:30 p.m. at Bay to Bay and Bayshore boulevards, goes north along Bayshore and ends at Watrous and Orleans streets at about 6 p.m.
WHO IS PARTICIPATING: The parade usually included about 100 units of krewes, marching bands, dances studios, school organizations, community groups and neighborhood associations, according to GasparillaPirateFest.com

Please note, that the bleacher seating tickets purchased on the day of the parade will go up $10 per ticket.TRAFFIC ADVISORY: Road closures and towing zones will be in effect in neighborhoods that border the parade route. No Parking signs have been installed in the neighborhoods west of Bayshore Blvd and will be in effect Friday, January 22 through Saturday, January 23. Details here.
