The Pasco County Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting in Land O’ Lakes on Wednesday.
The shooting happened off Belcher Lane around 9:12 p.m.
According to the sheriff’s office, Marci Ryner, 51, fled her home to contact 911 after being involved in a domestic violence incident with Williams Rogers, 55, who also lived at the home.
Ryner fled to the home of Brian Scruggs, 54, who is a neighbor.
Rogers followed Ryner and entered Scruggs’ home without his permission.
Scruggs confronted Rogers and asked him to leave multiple times.
Scruggs defended himself by shooting Rogers.
Rogers was pronounced dead at the scene.
