TARPON SPRINGS, Fla. (WFLA) – When Kiley Griggs and her parents showed up to Wheelchairs 4 Kids in Tarpon Springs to pick up her brand new bike, It didn’t take long for her to notice some of her favorite features.

“It has a bell which is really cool,” Kiley said about her new three-wheel bike. She could not stop ringing the bell on the front of the handle bars.

Not long after Kiley was born, she was diagnosed with cerebral palsy and spastic quadriplegia, which means it’s difficult for the 7-year-old girl to stand up, walk and control her body. She outgrew her old bike so Wheelchairs 4 Kids gave Kiley a $4,000 bike – free of charge.

She can now ride with her family and neighborhood friends.

“It’s awesome. It was a really good surprise that I didn’t know. I can ride on the trails. I can ride with my daddy,” Kiley said smiling.

Kiley’s parents are counting on their daughter’s new bike to help her become more independent when she’s walking.
