TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) – One person was killed after a boat overturned on Lake George in Tampa on Christmas Day.
Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the scene and found an overturned 14-foot boat.
The Florida Fish and Wildlife Commission said four people were on the boat when it flipped over.
FWC said when HCSO arrived on scene, three people were hanging onto the overturned boat and a fourth person was missing.
The missing person was located by the HCSO aviation unit and recovered by the sheriff’s office dive team.
The victim died at Florida Hospital.
