ST. PETERSBURG, FL (WFLA) – A teenager walking to a bus stop on his way to school found a body of a man near a parking lot in St. Petersburg early Thursday morning, according to St. Petersburg police.
It happened at 3856 34th Terrace South, at the Alta Mar at Broadwater apartments. The body was found near the parking lot. The report about the located body came in around 7 a.m.
St. Petersburg Police homicide detectives arrived at the scene to investigate the death.
The victim was identified as Shermaun Akins, 32. He died from upper body trauma, according to SPPD.
