A man in Plant City was shot and killed by his own father on Christmas, officials said.
Guy Vickery, 82, was arrested in connection with the death of his 50-year-old son, Benjamin Vickery.
The Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office responded to reports of a shooting at a home on Forbes Road in the early hours of Wednesday.
Deputies said Guy Vickery had been arguing with his son and opened fire. Benjamin Vickery was rushed to South Florida Baptist Hospital, where he later died.
Online jail records show Guy Vickery was arrested for manslaughter with a deadly weapon. His bond was set to $350,000.
