After a nearly 3 hour rain delay, the Rays and Indians took the field in game 3 of the 4 game series.
Charlie Morton won his 5th game of the season in the Rays 6-2 win, taking a 2-1 lead in the series.
BUT Morton isn’t the only pitcher the Rays are focused on.
As first reported by The Athletic, the Rays have their eyes on a couple of free agents.
Left handed pitcher Dallas Keuchel is one of those. Keuchel has been a free agent for 7 months now after spending last season with the Houston Astros. He went 12-11 with a 3.74 era in 2018.
The other is former Boston Red Sox pitcher, Craig Kimbrel. He posted a 2.74 era in 2018.
Both are expected to sign after draft pick compensation goes away at 12:01 a.m. on June 3…so stay tuned as to who may land in Tampa Bay.
