A Sebring man was arrested in New York Monday on Highlands County warrants for murder and shooting a gun into a vehicle.
Jonathan Daniel Padron, 25, was arrested in Catskill, NY.
Highlands County dispatch received a call about suspicious activity in the Sebring Airport Industrial Park at about 5 p.m. Saturday. When Highlands deputies arrived to the location, they found Thomas Benjamin Nelson, 25, shot dead.
Detectives believe the shooting was drug-related.
Padron took a train to New York, and Highlands County detectives worked with the New York State Police to find him, deputies said. Padron will soon be extradited, deputies added.
