TAMPA, FL – One person died and another was injured in a multi-vehicle crash on Bruce B. Downs Boulevard near 138th Avenue in Tampa Saturday.

A motorcyclist identified as Kristopher Graham, 20, of Tampa suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene, according to the Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office. A second biker, Antoine Jones, 22, of Tampa, was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The traffic accident occurred shortly after 5 p.m. on Bruce B. Downs Boulevard near 138th Avenue.

Geraldine Bedford, 80, of Temple Terrace, who was driving a 2011 Toyota Camry northbound on Bruce B. Downs Boulevard, attempted to make a left turn into the University Plaza, Hillsborough County sheriff’s spokeswoman Cristal Bermudez Nunez said in a release.

Graham was traveling on a 2009 Yamaha motorcycle southbound on Bruce B. Downs Boulevard in the inside lane with Antoine Jones on a 2007 Honda motorcycle behind him. A friend of Jones and Graham, D-Andre Alexander was traveling behind them in a red Scion.

Bedford turned into the path of Graham, the release states. Graham attempted to avoid the crash, but was unable to and struck the passenger side of the Camry. Jones, who was directly behind Graham, struck Graham’s motorcycle.

Graham died at the scene. Jones lost control of his motorcycle and it went down onto its side. Jones suffered road burns to his arms and legs.

Alexander ran over some of the debris and stopped just south of the intersection to rendered aid, according to the release. Jones was taken to nearby Florida Hospital Tampa at Fletcher Avenue and Bruce B. Downs Boulevard, where he was treated for his injuries and released.

No information was released Saturday on whether any charges would be filed.
