VALRICO, Fla. (WFLA) – A woman was rescued Monday evening after Hillsborough County Fire Rescue pulled her out of a home engulfed in flames.
HCFR says the received a call just before 8:30 p.m. of a fire in the 4000 block of Highgate Drive in Valrico.
HCFR says a woman ran back into her house to get medication and did not come out.
After making their way half-way inside, firefighters heard the sound of screams, and located the woman who had collapsed in a back bedroom. Crews carried her outside where she received immediate medical attention and we transported her with smoke-related injuries.
There were no other injuries, and the cause of the fire is under investigation.
