MANATEE COUNTY, Fla. (SNN TV) — The Skyway will be closed for most of Sunday morning due to the Armed Forces Skyway 10K Race.
The Florida Highway Patrol says the northbound lanes of I-275 will be closed at U.S. 41 beginning at 3:30 a.m. on Sunday.
The northbound lanes will remain closed until no later than 11:00 a.m.
Drivers who were planning to use the Skyway will need to use alternate northbound travel routes, such as U.S. 41, U.S. 301, or I-75, during this period.
The southbound lanes of I-275 will remain open. However, the exits to the north and south rest areas will be closed.
The Skyway fishing piers will close at midnight.
