TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — In this week’s episode of Run for Fun, we take a look at the nagging pains that can affect runners. These uncomfortable issues may not sideline a runner like an injury, but they can still be troublesome.
Leigh Spann and Coach Maria discuss what can cause that “side stitch” during your run and look at ways to ease it. It’s one of the issues runners deal with on a regular basis.
Other nagging pains include shin splints, hip aches, and plantar fasciitis. While these types of pain are frustrating, they can get much worse if nothing is done to help.
Listen as the team chats about ways to recognize the signs of these pains so that runners can start to process to alleviate them. The last thing any runner wants is a long-term injury that keeps them sidelined.
Running pain-free is certainly a way to make running more fun. For more tips on ways to enjoy running, be sure to listen to or watch previous episodes of Run for Fun.
