TAMPA, Fla. (WFLA) — Walt Disney World popcorn lovers can now try a new flavor that has a local connection.
The theme park is now serving a special strawberry crunch popcorn for a limited time at the Confectionery Kernel Kitchen inside Main Street Confectionery at Magic Kingdom.
Popcorn Junkie, a Florida family business, worked with the park to create the new gourmet popcorn flavors.
Other flavors include better butter, cheesy cheddar and crispy caramel, which can all be found at Magic Kingdom. A fruity mix flavor is available at EPCOT.
Disney said it discovered Popcorn Junkie owners Neal and Minetta Crosier’s small popcorn storefront in Orlando in 2018. Since then, the couple has collaborated on new popcorn recipes with Disney chefs.
Popcorn Junkie’s popcorn can be found across all four Disney parks and resorts. It will be available aboard the Disney Cruise Line fleet in the future.
