Tampa Bay Rays fans packed into The Trop in St. Pete on Saturday for the annual Fan Fest event.
Fan Fest comes just about two months after fans learned a potential deal to move a Tampa Bay Rays stadium to Ybor City was dead.
“Been a fan ever since they started the team, way back,” said Matt Berbe.
With the future of the stadium’s location up in the air, News Channel 8 asked how committed the organization is to Tampa Bay.
“This is our home. We are committed to being in the Tampa Bay region for a long time. Unfortunately, I don’t have an answer for how that’s going to happen right now, but we are just focused on the kick off of this particular season,” said Bill Walsh, VP of Strategies and Development.
