SPRING HILL, Fla. (WFLA) – Children looking to know more about the entertainment field can participate in a week-long acting workshop in Spring Hill. The camp is being held at Stage West Community Playhouse.
“I’m excited about the week. I think today we are just getting to know one another, but if you want to be in this business then you need to be a triple threat, which means you have to sing. You have to act. You have to dance,” Andi Sperduti Garner said.
Sperduti Garner is an acting coach.
Speaking of triple threats, 12-year-old Brie Burke is one of the students in the course. “I want to be an actor, singer or detective when I grow up,” Brie said.
She has acted in productions before and says the experience gives her confidence.
“It gives me confidence because the last one I was just in I was playing Tinker Bell in ‘Peter Pan’ and I actually really liked it. It showed me more about myself and all the people around me more about acting and finding out who you are,” Brie said.
