Olympians come in all shapes and sizes, from weightlifters to table tennis players and everyone in between. Gymnast Simone Biles, a favorite to multiple gold medals in Rio, illustrated this perfectly when she posed with volleyball player David Lee.

19-year-old Biles is 4-foot-8 inches tall, the shortest member of the U.S. women’s gymnastics team in Rio. 34-year-old David Lee is a full two feet taller at 6-foot-8. The odd couple met in the Team USA sports medicine room in the Athletes Village.
Lee is making his third Olympic appearance in Rio, and already has a gold medal from the 2008 Beijing Olympics. Biles is making her Olympic debut.
Biles’ teammate, 2012 Olympian Aly Raisman, also posted a picture of her with Lee. Raisman is a few inches taller than Biles at 5-foot-2.
