RIO DE JANEIRO (WFLA) – News Channel 8’s Paul Ryan is in Rio de Janeiro for the summer Olympics. He wants to show you what it’s like there. He is taking pictures and video of the people he meets and the places he visits and sharing it all with you.
On Thursday, Paul woke up bright and early with News Channel 8 Today. He was live outside Olympic Park talking about the controversy surrounding water in Rio that athletes will be competing in and the concern of Zika. He also talked about wild dogs keeping him up at night!
Later Thursday morning, Paul met up with the USA men’s basketball team, who is making their attempt to defend the gold. Paul says the USA men’s basketball team hasn’t lost in Olympic competition since 2004 in Athens. Pretty impressive!
On Wednesday, Paul gave us an update about construction at Olympic Park. Can you believe the park is still under construction with opening day coming up on Friday?
