TAMPA, Fla (WFLA) – Today started off sunny and we warmed into the low 80s. This afternoon we saw building clouds from the Gulf. Expect a slow cool down through the 70s and into the comfortable upper 60s Saturday morning/

It starts to feel slightly more humid tomorrow with highs in the upper 80s. Showers will fire up during the early afternoon along the east coast of Florida and get pushed into our area during the later afternoon. The showers will continue to trek westward across the state, ending up along our coastline by 5-7 p.m.

Sunday will be a tad drier, sunnier, and warmer, with a 30% chance of afternoon and evening showers, and highs return to the low 90s.

In fact, most of next week will be similar, and close to average for early to mid May. Highs will be in the upper 80s to near 90 each afternoon, and there’s 20%-30% afternoon rain chances.
