TAMPA, FL — The USF College of Public Health hosts its annual Free Flu Shot Drive on Friday, Oct. 21.
The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends that everyone ages 6 months and older get a seasonal flu vaccine yearly to reduce the risk of illness, including hospitalization. The college is located at 3010 USF Banyon Circle, Tampa, FL 33612 in Tampa.
This is the 20th year of the college’s flu shot drive for adults 18 and older. The longstanding community service is a collaboration between the college, USF Health and the Hillsborough County Health Department, which provides more than 1,000 doses of the vaccine to help protect against this year’s flu strains.
The drive is from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. or while supplies last. Shots are administered on a first-come, first-served basis. Attendees can also visit with health exhibitors.
