PASCO COUNTY, Fla. (WFLA) – For the second time in a week, a student in Pasco County has been arrested and charged with making a false report to use a firearm in a violent manner.

The 15-year-old student at Classical Preparatory Academy was arrested Saturday after making threats at school, according to the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office.

The suspect reportedly had a conversation with at least two other students during which, officials say, the student indicated “where he could get a gun and knew the perfect time (during lunch) to do the shooting,” according to a media release.  they shouldn’t attend school because he was going to “shoot up the school.”

Officials said the teen suspect also made statements about “shooting up the school.”

Word of the threat was reported to the headmaster of the school, who, in turn, contacted the Pasco County Sheriff’s Office.

Investigators interviewed the teen who admitted to making the statements but indicated he “wasn’t serious and didn’t mean to scare anyone,” the media release stated.

The teen is facing second-degree felony charges in connection with the incident.

On Wednesday, a teen at Ridgewood High School made threats similar in nature and was arrested.
