ORLANDO, Fla. (WFLA) — The Orlando Police Department is investigating an apparent murder-suicide involving children, according to a report.
NBC affiliate WESH reported that police were at the scene of Lake District Lane after responding to a welfare check at 1 p.m.
Police said they found five people dead, including two children.
The father of the family was identified as the suspect. The wife and three children were reported dead.
Officers recovered a firearm at the scene however an official cause of death will be determined by the medical examiner’s office, WESH reported.
