Tallahassee Bureau Reporter Libbey Dean joined 8 On Your Side in June 2022. She is a proud Houston Texas native who is delighted to call the Sunshine State home.
Libbey graduated with honors from the University of Oklahoma (Boomer Sooner!) where she was Intelligence Community Scholar and graduated with a BA in Broadcast Journalism.
Before WFLA, she worked at KWTV in Oklahoma City and spent 8 months in the nation’s capitol as a bureau reporter for Gaylord News. During her time in Washington, she also worked as a research assistant at the National Intelligence University (NIU).
Eventually presenting her research at NIU to the Director of National Intelligence and at the National Intelligence Symposium in Oklahoma City.
When she’s not working, Libbey spends her time with family and friends while doing the activities she loves like running, traveling and reading.
