DUNNELLON, Fla. (WESH) — The Florida Amber Alert issued Tuesday afternoon for a missing 5-year-old girl who was last seen in Dunnellon, Florida has been canceled, according to the Marion County Sheriff’s Office.
Alexandria Green, 5, was found safe at the Harbor Inn and Suites in Hermann, Missouri, according to Marion County officials. She was found with her father, Alan Green, and her mother, Mechealine Mazakis.
Alan Green was arrested on scene for a Marion County warrant for interference with child custody. No charges are currently being filed against Mechealine Mazakis.
Alexandria Green’s grandparents have been notified and Alexandria Green is currently in the custody of Missouri authorities, the sheriff’s office said.
Authorities will bring the child back to Florida where she will be placed into the Florida Department of Children and Families’ custody, per the judge’s pick-up order.
